The objectives of the Institution are being achieved through incessant work for the last 49 years. Samant Kalika has brought about literary and intellectual development of the community.
The Institution has achieved unity and brotherhood among Darcadnyas and fostered good and healthy relations between the Darcadnyas and other communities.
It has instituted Prizes and Scholarships for the students of the Darcadnya community, as well as Prizes for the students at large, irrespective of caste and religion.
It provides financial assistance to needy students and women.
It has instituted Goldsmith Awards, Articon Awards, Social Work Award, and Saldamit Prize — all irrespective of caste and religion.
It has instituted three Literary Awards — Nathmadhas Literary Award, P. B. Kulkarni Literary Award for writers irrespective of caste and religion, and one more Literary Award, Vinayak Deshkar Literary Award.
On the occasion of its Silver Jubilee year, the Mandal has instituted three more — namely, Late Dnyaneshwar Koloskar Literary Award, Late Pandurang P. Shirodkar Literary Award, and Dr. Harishchandra S. Lagonkar Literary Award. These Literary Awards are also irrespective of caste and religion.
The Institution publishes every month Samant Kalika, including two special issues on the occasions of Gudi Padwa and Diwali.
Samant Kalika publishes articles of social importance and short stories, poems, essays, travelogues, etc., and encourages budding talent in the literary field.
It has organised symposia on topics of social relevance. Samant Kalika has helped spread scientific temper, social and ethical values among the people.
Its aim has always been to bring about the growth of responsible citizenship in the country.
The Institution has been successful in involving the people in all its activities and schemes, which has enabled it to get sponsorships for its educational and literary movements.
